First Blockbusters and now WhatsaBagel.
That Blockbusters was consolidating their business nationally in response to video-on-demand and Netflix is one thing, but the closure of Whatsa Bagel is a bit of a surprise.
The Bethesda store remains open fueling speculation that the move is due to rent increases at the Park N Shop strip mall.

At the Fenty event at the CP Library this last weekend, one of the members of the ANC mentioned that the cause of both of these is the property owner of Sam's Stop and Shop raising rents.
The suspicion is that the owners, flouting the restaurant restrictions included in the commercial overlay, are holding out for a restaurant or two which can swing higher rents.
